"Empowering women is the foundation for creating strong families, vibrant communities, and a flourishing nation."
The Challenge: In India, women continue to face significant challenges despite the resources and efforts dedicated to empowerment. Society often still views women as burdens, and the statistics are alarming. Every third woman aged 15-49 has experienced violence, with one in ten reporting physical assault by their husbands. Crimes against women have increased by 7.1% nationwide since 2010, occurring every three minutes. Domestic violence remains the most common crime, with 70% of women being victims. Shockingly, many women believe it’s justifiable for a husband to beat his wife. The situation is further exacerbated by dowry-related violence, with incidents of dowry deaths remaining disturbingly high.
Let’s unite for a safer, empowered society.
